Chetana Child Development Centre, Mangaluru celebrated ‘Shri Krishna Janmashtami’ on 6.9.2023 in full devotion and enthusiasm. In the beginning, teachers chanted Shri Krishna Ashtothara. Bhajnans were also sung collectively, followed by Mangalarathi. Tottilu (cradle) Pooja and ‘Mosaru Kudike’ (breaking the pot) was performed. The trustees of Seva Bharathi, the HM of Chetana school with children & teachers, parents were present.

Unique and traditional festival ‘Raksha Bandhan’ was celebrated at Chetana Child Development Centre, V T Road Mangaluru on 30.8.2023 in a simple but meaningful function. The teachers applied ‘Bindi’ on the forehead, shown ‘Arati’, tied ‘Rakhi’ at wrists and gave sweets to all the school children. The children joyfully enjoyed the occasion. Seva Bharathi Trustees, the HM with teachers, school children, parents & well wishers present during the occasion.

Distribution of daily needs to Divyang children

To commemorate ‘Aazadi ka Amrith Mahotsava’ of ‘Bharath’, Valentia branche of St. Milagres credit Souharda Co-operative Society Ltd. distributed the items like bedsheets and other items to divyangs of Chetana Child Development Centre, V T Road Mangaluru in a function arranged on 25.8.2023 at Chetana school. The Chief Guest of the function Dr. Siddaraju, M.A. Phd.(Botony) & IQAC Co-coordinator, University College, Mangalore spoke stressing the need to support both the divyang children and the institutions like Chetana School who honestly strive hard to uplift the all-round life conditions of divyang community. Shri Nagaraj Bhat, Hon. Secretary and Shri Vinod Shenoy, Treasurer of Seva Bharathi, Smt. Suprita, H M of Chetana School, Shri Naresh Kini, Social worker were present on the dais. The children and parents of the school, Branch Managers and staff of the St. Milagres Society, volunteers and well-wishers of Seva Bharathi were present during the occasion.

Seva Bharathi® celebrated 77th Independence Day of the Nation.

Seva Bharathi ® Mangalore celebrated 77th Independence Day Celebrations of India by hoisting the National flag and arranging variety of programs at it’s following units.

Chetana Child Development Centre, Mangaluru : Shri Jeevandas Narayan, Ex. Managing Director, State Bank of Travancore and one of the Directors, Karnataka Bank Ltd. was the Chief Guest of the Day, hoisted the National Flag. The children of the school staged cultural presentation in group song, drill, dance and a skit depicting characters’ of the selfless freedom fighters i.e. Kittur Rani Chennamma and Sangolli Rayanna. Seva Bharathi Trustees, children with their parents, staff, Volunteers and well-wishers in large number witnessed the events.

Roman & Catherine Lobo Residential School for Visually Impaired, Mangaluru : Mr. Calistus D’Sa, the Principal of the school hoisted the National Flag. Shri Vinod Shenoy, Trustee of Seva Bharthi and the members of the Rotary Club, Mangalore Mid Town, children with parents & staff, wellwishers were present during the occasion.

Adamya Chetana Day Care Centre, Ullala : Shri Ansul Nayak Ullal the chief guest of the function hoisted the National Flag. Shri Shashikant Ullal, President, Lions Club of Chota Mangalore, children with parents, residents of nearby homes & shops were present during the occasion. Children presented cultural glimpses for which costumes were sponsored by Lalitha Kala Arts Mangaluru.

Vidya Chetana Special School and Skill Development Centre, Ramakunja, Puttur Taluk : The staff, school children with parents were assembled at the premises of Ramkunja Gram Panchayat. Smt. Malathi, Panchayat President and Smt. J D Lalitha, Panchayat Development Officer jointly hoisted the National Flag. On behalf of the village Panchayat, books and learning materials were distributed to our school children. The villagers were present during the occasion.

Conduct of Free Orthopedic Checkup Camp

Anantha Soukhya a forum of Seva Bharathi ® Mangalore working for senior citizens and KMC Hospital Mangalore jointly organized a free Orthopedic Checkup Camp including bone density test on 23.7.2023 at Chetana School premises for the benefit of all age group. Dr. K R Kamath, Orthopedic Surgeon & HOD, KMC, Mangalore and his team cooperated in conducting the camp. Dr. Kamath inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp and spoke about the causes of bone deterioration in bone density and the role of doctors and also patients to counter it to have a healthy ‘walkful life’. Shri Nagraj Bhat, Hon. Secretary of Seva Bharathi ® Mangalore briefed the activities of Sev Bharathi. Shri Vinod Shenoy, Trustee Seva Bharathi, Shri. Herbert, Co-ordinator, KMC Hospsital, Shri Umesh Shenoy, Convener, Anantha Soukhya and volunteers of Seva Bharathi were present during the occasion. Totally 127 persons benefitted by attending the camp.
