Youth of GSB Worldwide, a Mangalore based you tube channel provided an opportunity to the children & their care team of Chethana Child Development Centre to participate in 3 days ‘GPL Utsav 2026’ commencing from 10.4.2026 at sea shore, Hejamady, Mulki. Accordingly, Chetana children visited the utsav on inaugural day i.e.10.4.26 and enjoyed the river boating.  They had the lunch and fun time in the afternoon hours. The children happily conveyed thanks to the organizer of GPL Utsav.

The Digital Lab and Multi Skilling Lab sponsored by ICICI Foundation inaugurated on 9.4.2026 at forenoon at Ankur block, Madhava Vana, Montepadavu also with Celebration of Mass Birthday of the children of Adamya Chetana residential school for the Divyang.

Shri Shashee Kumar N, Zonal Head (Retail), Karnataka Central, ICICI Bank inaugurated the Digital Lab and the Multi Skilling Lab was jointly inaugurated by Shri Raja Sahib, Projects Manager, ICICI Foundation and Shri Santhosh Malali, Regional Head, Institutional Bank.

Shri Prithwipala K the CEO of Seva Bharathi briefed scope of the said labs. The ICICI executives and the team joyfully participated in the Mass birthday celebration in cutting & feeding the cake, applying tilak with arathi to all the children.  Teachers, parents and well-wishers coordinated in conducting the celebration.

The guests also inaugurated the sportswear for Adamya Chetana children and also distributed the prizes to the winner students in various competitions. Hon. Secy.  Shri H Nagaraj Bhat and Treasurer Shri P Vinod Shenoy of Seva Bharathi, School HM Mrs. Varsha were present on the Dias.

As part of Autism Day celebrations, Seva Bharathi (R.) Mangalore organized a workshop on “Autism Uncovered: Causes, Symptoms and Solutions” on 6th April 2026 at the Auditorium of Chethana school. The program was inaugurated by watering a plant by Dr. Rajesh, MBBS, MD, Ph.D., the Assistant Professor (Psychiatry), Yenepoya Medical College. Addressing the gatherings he stated that autism is not a disease, it is a developmental disability, for which now a days effective treatments are available. He continued that every autistic person has different symptoms and it is necessary to understand them to encourage their families.

Sri H Nagaraj Bhat, Hon. secretary of Seva Bharati welcomed the guests. Kumari Anjana Joy, Professor & Consultant of Psychiatric and Mrs. Shwetha Ashok Shetty, Coordinator, Yenepoya Medical College, Mrs. Ravikala R Shetty, Head of the Unit, Navachetana Communication Development Centre were present on the dias. Ms. Varsha compered the program and Ms. Ranjitha Rakesh proposed the vote of thanks.

Dr. Rajesh and his team conducted the workshop in 3 sessions, in which 52 special teachers from 13 special schools in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts participated in the workshop with great enthusiasm.

The Seva bharathi (R.) Mangalore which is striving for upliftment of the standard of special abled children with other social activities has been recognized recently by the following 3 institutions. (1) Shri Durgaparameshwari Mutt, Montepadav, Naringana Village, Ullal Taluk on 8.3.2026 during Annual Satyanarayana Vrita Katha at it’s premises (2) Da. Ka. Kannada Sahitya Parishath on 28.3.2026 at it’s Annual meet at Sparsha Kalamandira, Bantwal (3) Shri Nagabrahma Taruna Vrinda (R.) Kodical, Mangaluru during it’s 38^th Annual day held on 4.4.2026 at Kodical. Shri P Vinod Shenoy, Treasurer of Seva Bharathi received the honor in all the above occasions.

Mass Birthday celebration of the children of Chethana School was held on 30th March 2026 at Chethana School. Shri H Nagaraj Bhat, Hon. Secy. welcomed the gatherings. Shri Srinivas Pranesh, Director (Retd), BASF, Katipalla, Mangaluru  who attended the program appreciated the way of traditional style of celebrating the birthday by involving the teachers and parents of the children. Shri B Prakash Pai, Senior Volunteer spoke on the importance of celebrating Mass Birthday.  Shri P Vinod Shenoy, Treasurer of Seva Bharathi, Shri Santosh Pai, HR Officer, BASF, Smt. Suprita, HM of the school were present during the occasion.  The teachers alongwith guests, parents, well-wishers collectively enjoyed the birthday where tilak and aarti applied to the children also by serving sweets & gifts to them.  Singing and dancing were presented by the teachers and children.  Smt. Rekha, compered the program and Smt. Champa proposed the vote of thanks.
